Designed by Grace: From CNC Trainee to Machinist

 This limited-edition mug was custom-designed by Grace, a JARC CNC graduate who turned a fresh start into a full-time career. Before Grace discovered Jane Addams Resource Corporation (JARC), she had spent years working in warehouses in Portland, Oregon. She didn’t mind the work, but she felt stuck. “There just wasn’t a lot of mobility,” she said. Walking into JARC, Grace found more than just a new career path. She found a community of encouragement and practical tools that helped her thrive. “Everyone is just so welcoming right away. It’s really unlike anything I’ve been a part of before.” Now earning $21/hour as a machinist, she’s proof that bold moves lead to brighter futures.

Her design, created using 3D software during training, isn’t just stylish, it’s symbolic. As Grace put it, “If I can do it, anyone can do it.”
